Wearing tights, helmets, ridding unusually expensive mountain bikes, we out-of-box guys started rolling again. Wang Zheng would love to ride through weekends with his friends. You may see riders in eye-catching cycling jersey slicing by you when walking along the band of West Lake.
"Do you know how much does the most expensive bicycle in the world? The latest price is 80000 Euro" Said Wang Zheng, a hard core amateur cyclist. Cycling is a luxury sport in China--you need to spend 10000 plus on a mountain bike, 1000 plus on a cycling suit. Does such a luxury sport meet cold shoulder in Hangzhou? How many cycling fans are there in Hangzhou? The number is 350000 in Wangzheng's eyes. But the number is not that big in China. From a white collar to entrepreneur, Wangzheng, graduated from Advertising Major of China Academy of Art, resigned the job in a large state-owned company with high salary, started his own business of what he always loved- design and producing cycling suits. His brand Sobike is already national know depend on his five-man group. More and more cycling teams came to ask them to design team suit.
"It's freezing cold in the winter of Hangzhou, and the cycling suits available in the mainland are only for summer ridding, and usually not cheap, like more than 1000 Yuan, because they are all imported", said Wangzheng, "A couple of years ago, I designed a jersey which was specialized for winter ridding: The front is made of extra thick material; the design which tightened the waist part reduced windage resistance; breathable net-looking fabric made the waistcoat aeration while warm-keeping. Plenty of fellow guys came to me for the waistcoat. At the beginning of his business, Wangzheng came crossed a lot of bottleneck problems mass producing. He looked for plenty of foreign trade enterprises, but was refused for his order is too small to meet their appetite. The only choice is come to local individual workshop.
"My designs are not only specialized but also at good price,"said Wang, "I think this is why everybody loves our Sobike."
